» LEARNING MORE ABOUT PERROS FROM MY NIECE

By China at 9:44 AM

Recently I was helping my niece who is interested in becoming a vet apply for a job as a veterinary assistant. I really thought how difficult could it be to do a job like this, but then she pointed out to me the differences in the breeds and in their temperament as well as which illnesses tend to affect certain breeds. I guess I really hadn't given that much thought, but she said that being a vet is actually more difficult than being a doctor to human beings. The first reason is because dogs don't talk, so you can't ask them about their symptoms, but can only try to guess at what is wrong with them. Also, it is important to realize. Secondly the differences in the breeds means that you must try to be an expert on animals their behaviors and their different living environments. This can make them very different from human beings.

During out research she brought up a website that was completely in Spanish. At first I thought that she was crazy, because I read:

Then like magic she clicked on something that it turned to English and I could read:

Different races of dogs have different problems associated with them, and not only that but dog breeds can honestly be as different as different species of animals. Dogs are one of the most unique species of animals, because they are so widely varied in their characteristics and the cross breeding of these dogs can lead to completely different types of animals, with new sets of problems. Even those who have worked with animals for years, find dogs one of the most unique breeds of creatures on the planet, and often use reference guides to help them determine what is going on with a specific animal.

I have learned a lot more information about dogs through helping my niece and all I can say is that I have a new appreciation for those in the veterinary sciences.
