It never occurred to me when I wanted to remodel my home that there were so many things to think of. I knew that I definitely wanted to give the exterior a whole new look and I definitely wanted to get some new windows. I know it sounds a little extravagant, but look, my granddaddy left me this house and I know that all he has ever wanted was to have the house in great shape. I still had some money left from the inheritance and figured that I may as well, invest it in my home. (Secretly, I love the way that sounds "my Home")

Well, I found a great company whose specialty is residential house aluminum siding. Now, understand that as a first time home owner, I had no idea that there were so many choices to make, even once I narrowed my choices down to just vinyl siding. Vinyl siding is by far the best investment for the $$$. The price is really reasonable, and it looks great forever. All you have to do is wash it once and year and it looks great. Anyway, I didn't have any idea how many choices of vinyl log siding there are in the world. I could choose the look. Did you know that vinyl siding comes in a style that looks like cedar shakes? I really didn't want them, I was just really surprised. Anyway, not only where there many styles to choose from, there were also a ton of color choices for the siding. Not only that, but I always thought that you paint vinyl siding, but instead the color is made right into it, so it NEVER has to be repainted.

Next I had to decide on the windows. I did not know that I could get new vinyl replacement windows for my home at such a good price. Not only did they improve the energy efficiency of my home, but the new windows can all be cleaned from the inside, completely. That's right even the ones in the upstairs! Now that is a wonderful convenience.

Well, I never knew that just changing those 2 things could make such an incredible difference in the look of my home. The whole house seems brighter now, with the new windows. The old ones seemed to just have a haze all over them that just wouldn't come off. And from the exterior with the incredible new siding and new windows, it really looks like a new home. I just love it!
